How To Make Your Own Lip Balm:

What you will need:

A block of beeswax
2 tablespoons olive oil or other liquid vegetable oil
4-5 drops essential oil
About an inch of lipstick
A container to hold the lip balm

The first step is to create a double boiler. Fill a small pot about a quarter of the way full with water, and place the pot on the stove over medium heat. Place a bowl in the pot; the bowl should fit snugly into the pot, but the bottom of the bowl should not touch the water.

While the water is heating, grate a tablespoon of beeswax with a knife or cheese grater. Place this in the bowl and stir until the beeswax is completely melted.

Next, add the olive oil and lipstick to the beeswax and stir until all substances are completely combined. Then, remove the pot from the heat and add the essential oil. Make certain that you add the essential oil last since it evaporates quickly if exposed to heat.

Finally, pour the lip balm mixture into the container of choice and allow it to cool. It is ready to use when it is completely solidified and cool to the touch.
